Sunshine Coast Art Crawl

You are invited to the 11th Sunshine Coast Art Crawl "Reimagined in 2020"; Friday, Saturday and Sunday October 23, 24 & 25, 10am-5pm. ‘The Crawl’ will showcase artists on the entire Sunshine Coast from Langdale to Earls Cove or Earls Cove to Langdale. Over the 3 days, the ‘Coast’ transforms into one large interactive art show. It is a celebration of events, demonstrations, displays, and opportunities to meet the artists behind their amazing creations.  During the unprecidented Covid-19 pandemic the Crawl will look a little different.  To provide safety and levels of comfort for all, the Crawlers will have the opportunity to visit the artists in their venues/studios in different and creative ways. We will be Celebrating “Virtually Together” in 2020 as we offer online interaction between the artists and visitors each day of the Crawl. (this will insure the Crawl to continue IF Provincial Guidelines change in October).  Some will be open ‘Virtually Only’ – for those uncomfortable to open their home/studio to the public and for Crawlers anxious about going in to spaces outside their ‘social bubble’. Some will be open in their Private/Home Studios ‘Virtually’ PLUS ‘By Appointment’ to visit following Provincial Health Guidelines. (Check venue listings for contacts to sign up. Date to start signing up will be released in October.) Public Galleries, Venues and Retail Spaces will be open ‘Virtually’ PLUS ‘By Drop in‘ following Provincial Health Guidelines. In 2019 there were over 360 artists in 186 galleries, artists studios and variety of other venues. It is such a great time to gather your family and ‘social bubble groups’ together and get a taste of what Coast Life is all about, and discover some unique and sometimes very off the road locations. The 2020 Art Crawl Venue online listings will be updated in September where you can then view all the details for each venue. The printed brochure/map can be picked up the end of September from any visitor centre, BC Ferries, on-line or email scartcrawl@gmail.com and request one in the mail. It will give you a chance to plan your treasure hunt of artists and their venues for the 3 days of the Crawl.
